The first image share site I looked into was Photobucket. This is a user-friendly site which allows a free account user up to 1GB of space in which to store and sharhttp://www.blogger.com/post-create.g?blogID=2850376458951274919e their images. The site is secure and provides a safe storage space. It allows you to be able to access your images from any computer. Images can be filed in albums and displayed in slide shows. All images on this site are filtered for offensive content. You can save your images privately, display them publicly or control who can/cannot see your images.
I compared it with Flikr. From my research, it seems that Flickr is also used as a blog site. It appears to have various different features - Organizr, for example, is an innovative way to index and tag your images. You have control over who can/cannot access your data. All of the images are filtered for indecency.
As the computer in the classroom would not allow me onto either of the sites, I cannot comment on them as a visitor, but from my research these two sites seem very similar.

Text Formatting Site Comparison
The first text formatting site I'm looking at is this site, Blogger.com. I would say that this site is a brilliant site to begin blogging on. I find the site very user-friendly and easy to navigate around without too much difficulty. You can register and start your own customised blog displaying text, images and video. You can gather readers, follow other blogs and be updated when new stuff is added. Blogger also caters for 41 different languages and can be accessed via mobile phones. Links and directions are clearly illustrated with bright, bold symbols and the site is nice and colourful.
The next one I chose to check out is Wordpress. Wordpress appears to be more advanced and impressive. It has all of the features of above plus an option to pay for a premium account. You can download widgets to help you build your page and I think this site gives you more control over your readers and the information you wish/do not wish them to be able to access. It caters for more languages. The look of this site is very professional compared to the first one - there is more text and less images.

Class
I have missed the last two classes as I was off ill and so much of today was familiarising myself with what I had missed.
I went into my team for the EPK project with Michael and James and they updated me on the progress so far. I went online and researched '2 Faced Dance Company' and watched James constructing the site with iweb.
I read the class blog and all the students blogs and I intend to do some catching up on search engines and photo and video sharing sites from my PC at home.
I will have a go on iweb in the class as soon as possible.
